NMPAT Strings Recital 02.05.25

Dear Families

The second week of the summer term is already over and we are in full swing with learning and creativity here at EHPS.

Earlier this week, you received an email about 2 important surveys we would like you to complete.

Annual Parent Survey which helps us reflect and improve. CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE IT.

Fact-finding breakfast club survey. CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE IT.

Your views and opinions really do matter and help us shape the way forward. The closing deadline for these surveys is 23rd May at 23.59.

House Assembly

This week’s assembly was our termly House Assembly and led expertly by our Head of Salcey House, Miss Stryjek. She talked about the focus for house points this half term being linked to our school rule of 'respect' and our school value of 'kindness'.The Big Umbrella | Book by Amy June Bates, Juniper Bates | Official ...

She shared the story called 'The Big Umbrella' which is about a large, friendly umbrella that welcomes everyone, regardless of size, shape, or background. The umbrella, which has a smiling face, is portrayed as a symbol of inclusivity and kindness, showing that there's always room for everyone. The story emphasises making space for others and demonstrates that even the seemingly smallest of things can have a big impact.

NMPAT Strings Recital

On Tuesday, we were treated to a wonderful recital by NMPAT strings. They performed a range of songs from Beliver, Peppa Pig, Star Wars and Harry Potter. The children were enthralled and inspired. We love music at EHPS and from iRock concerts to our summer gala we really enjoy sharing our musical creativity but also learning from others.

If you are interested in knowing more about our musical offer please contact our brilliant music lead, Fiona Landeman.

Year 2 and Green Class Visit Hunsbury Library

This term, it is Year 2 and Green Classes’ turn to visit Hunsbury Library. We are committed to promoting a love of reading and feel that our local libraries are really important to our children and community. The children loved looking around and selecting their favourite books – I do hope many of you visit over the next few weeks and months. Plus, it will soon be the annual Summer Reading Challenge, that we love participating in!

Next week is a shorter week as Monday is a bank holiday (fingers crossed for some sunshine). Whatever you get up to over the weekend, I hope you have a lovely time and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
