We’re going on a bear hunt!

Tuesday 10th January 2017.

Happy New Year.

We have started off the term remembering our favourite things about Christmas and thinking about the year ahead and what our hopes/wishes resolutions might be. You can talk about this at home too and write a comment here for us to share in class.

We’ve also started our new learning challenge – What makes the earth angry? and will be thinking about volcanoes, and earthquakes and rocks and fossils. Look out for the information sheet which will have some things for you to do at home.

This week we shared a favourite story – We’re going on a bear hunt? It was on tv over Christmas – did you see it? We talked about the different places the family explored and began to make a map of their journey. We will be learning about maps.

Today we went to Salcey Forest for our own bear hunt. We made binoculars to take to help us. We didn’t see a bear – but we found bear pooh! And footprints and a cave where we think he slept! What an adventure

We're going on bear hunt. We're going to catch a big one! Swishy swashy grass.
