This week the new children have joined Blue class for either morning or afternoon sessions. They have been getting to know everyone and learning the class routines. It has been a busy week and has been lots of fun. Here are a few pictures of the different activities.
This week we started our new topic “People who help us”. We have had great fun reading ‘Supertato’. He is a superhero in a supermarket. We went to the supermarket and bought lots of things to make our own supermarket in school. We have made jelly (which Supertato used to save the veggies from the […]
This week we have done lots more work based around our mini-beasts work. Some of us went to dance in enrichment on Wednesday and had a great time working with some of our older friends from the SU.
We began the week by joining our friends in reception on a “bug hunt” to start out new Learning challenge – “Are all mini-beasts scary?” We looked at some mini-beasts Mrs. Lampard had collected from her allotment and had a hunt for more mini-beasts in the school grounds. We have also done lots of inclusion […]
This week we are thinking about taste. We are reading the story “Handa’s surprise”. On Tuesday we had another visit from the farm. We saw a donkey, a pony, a pig, ducklings, chicks, a tortoise and rabbits.
This week we have been thinking about smell. We went to the bluebell woods – which smelt very nice!
This week we were able to visit a farm to see the lambs. We also saw some cows, hens, pigs and a lovely big red tractor.
This week we are thinking all about “Touch”. The SU had the farm visit on Tuesday and we joined our friends in reception to see the reptiles on Thursday. We have been making our own reptiles using clay.
Welcome back after Easter. We have a fun packed half term and hopefully a little more sunshine than the holidays! This half term we are thinking about our senses. To start us off we joined our friends in reception for a sensory walk. At forest school we have changed groups and had great fun learning what […]
